Our legal office understands that when people hire a paralegal, they are often experiencing a very stressful situation. During these times people need someone who cares about them and is attentive to their needs. At Resolute Legal Services we will ensure that our clients not only receive high-quality legal services, but also the support and resources they deserve.
Why Use a Paralegal?
Paralegals and lawyers are regulated by the Law Society of Ontario. Since many lawyers charge large fees for their services, the Law Society mandates “Access to Justice” from a cost prohibitive perspective which enables Paralegals to practice law at a much lower cost to the public. We are required to follow a professional code of conduct, operate in an ethical manner, and carry insurance in order to protect the public. Paralegals are required to complete a program at an accredited college where both the program and its instructors are monitored by the Law Society of Ontario. After successful completion of the college program, the college graduate is required to pass a rigorous 7-hour licensing exam conducted by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Once licensed and insured, the paralegal can provide legal services within a limited scope. Paralegals can assist their clients in the following types of matters:

Although a lawyer can assist the public in these types of matters as well, it is usually more cost effective to use a Paralegal. Overview of our Practice:
